Dr. Nicole Rivera, D.C.
Functional Medicine Physician, Owner of Integrative Wellness Group, Founder of the Institute for Integrative Wellness
Dr. Nicole is an integrative physician at Integrative Wellness Group in Belmar, NJ. She is also an author of a cookbook series named Eat for your Condition which is used to support patients with specific health struggles. Dr. Nicole aims to inspire people to fall in love with food and allow it to nourish their bodies and enrich their relationships. As a national speaker on Functional and Integrative Medicine, Dr. Nicole was inspired to create the Institute for Integrative Wellness which is a teaching platform to educate other coaches and physicians on evolving the healthcare model to more specific and integrative. Dr. Nicole believes that shifting the paradigm of medicine toward an integrative approach starts with the physicians.
In developing her integrative approach, Dr. Nicole has studied under various physicians in various fields to understand many aspects of health and disease, including toxicity, lyme disease, emotional trauma, brain conditions, parasite infections, mold toxicity, and autoimmunity. Some of her mentors include Dr. Demartini, Dr. Klinghardt, Dr. Zach Bush, Dr. Perlmutter, Dr. Shoemaker to name a few. Dr. Nicole started on this path to healthcare by observing the massive void in people acknowledging and understanding their symptoms. Many peoples lack of feeling good was dumbed down or disregarded by the medical community. Others are told they are a mystery or that it was “in their head”. She aspires to uncover the mystery symptoms that patients experience and provide them with long lasting solutions.
Dr. Nicole strives to offer a progressive approach to evolve the way healthcare is being done by providing a specific, scientific, and one of a kind approach to each and everyone of her patients.
